Description:
The Experimental Film Club hosts a screening and discussion of David Gatten's films: The Enjoyment of Reading (Lost & Found) (2001) Moxon's Mechanick Exercises, or, The Doctrine of Handy-Works Applied to the Art of Printing (1999) What the Water Said, nos. 1-3 (1997-98) Hardwood Process (1996) David Gatten has been teaching in the Department of Cinema and Photography at Ithaca College since 1999. He is the curator for Cinema Off-Center at Cornell University's Cornell Cinema. His work has been exhibited around the world including screenings at the Whitney Museum of American Art (2002 Biennial and The American Century), Lincoln Center, Pacific Film Archive, Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, Art Gallery of Ontario, Cinematheque Francaise, Helsinki Film Co-Op, Millennium Film Workshop, Anthology Film Archives, and festivals in Toronto, Bangkok, and Rotterdam. His two most recent films have been featured in the prestigious "Views from the Avant-Garde" program at the New York Film Festival.
