The Film Studies Center provides viewing facilities, film and video collections, and reference materials for onsite research and study. The facilities are open to enrolled students, faculty and staff of the University of Chicago. Outside researchers must apply in writing to the Assistant Director. The Film Studies Center may be used only for serious research, study, and course-related projects, and is not a general University Media Center. Please Visit the Viewing Area (Cobb 306) or call 773.702.8596 during hours of operation for catalog information and reservations. Viewing Area (C 306) Hours:

Autumn, Winter, and Spring Quarters:

Monday - Thursday: 10:00 am - 11:00 pm
Friday - Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Hours run through Friday of exam (11th) week and may vary slightly. Please check at the beginning of each quarter. The Film Studies Center viewing facilities are closed between quarters and on University holidays.

Summer Quarter 2008:

July 15 - Aug. 28

Tues. & Thurs.

12pm - 8 pm
