- A young Japanese man leaves his home and his beloved snake collection in Tokyo to travel to Australia to buy the car of his dreams, a Citroen DS known as “The Goddess.” He arrives to find that the man has just killed his wife and committed suicide. The man's blind niece (Rose Byrne) offers to take him to the real owner of the car, on a journey that will take the couple into the outback.
