A two day symposium including panel discussions entitled: Institutions of Cinema and Cinema Studies: The Stakes of Transformations, Media Publics: Cinema as Expanded Field, and Methodology, Theory, and Paradigm Shifts. Moderated by Miriam Hansen, Katie Trumpener, and Homi Bhaba. With screenings of: The Red Spectre, A Japanese Idyll, Cohen on the Telephone, Film Feedback, Home Stories, and The Couple in the Cage. Music by Sebastian Hoydts, Kevin Drumm, David Grubbs, and Jim O'Rourke.
